Guidelines for Authors

Publication Ethics for Author(s)

To maintain the integrity of the research record and uphold professional standards of authorship, Changemaker expects authors to adhere strictly to the following ethical guidelines:

A. Author Responsibilities:

  1. Authors must submit original and unpublished research work. Any form of plagiarism or duplication is strictly prohibited.
  2. Misrepresentation or manipulation of research findings must be avoided.
  3. Simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to multiple journals is considered unethical and is not allowed.
  4. Once a work is published in the Changemaker, it must not be submitted for publication elsewhere.
  5. Proper citation and acknowledgment of other scholarly works and references are mandatory.
  6. All co-authors must consent to the submission of the manuscript.
  7. The corresponding author (typically the first author) is responsible for communicating with the editorial team and keeping all co-authors informed about submission status and editorial correspondence.
  8. Requests for changes in authorship, including additions, removals, or rearrangement of author order, will not be accepted after the manuscript has been submitted.
  9. Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including financial, ideological, or personal relationships that could influence the research process or its outcomes.
  10. In the event of any ethical misconduct, the responsibility lies solely with the author(s).

B. Copyright and Publishing Rights:

  1. Authors retain full copyright and publishing rights without restrictions after publication in this journal.
  2. No additional permission is required from the journal or publisher for further use of the published content.
  3. Changemaker also reserve the right to reproduced published manuscripts without any modification in the content. Such reproduction, if any, must be according to the listed authors as was published in the journal.

C. Manuscript Submission:

  1. Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format only.
  2. Use Times New Roman, font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
  3. Follow APA citation style, or any style consistently throughout the paper.
  4. Submissions in formats other than MS Word will not be accepted.
  5. Research Articles should be ideally between 2000-8000 words.
  6. Perspectives and Commentaries should be ideally between 1500-3000 words.
  7. Article Processing Charge of Rs. 1000 is payable for each publication to maintain and ensure Open Access nature of the journal.

D. Article Processing

  1. Once a manuscript is submitted, the editor will forward it to another editorial member to determine if the manuscript met the criteria and standards for consideration to publication. This could take 2-5 days.
  2. If the editorial member find it interesting enough, it will be sent for a another round of review.
  3. Once the review ends, the matter will be decided by the editor and his decision shall be final and binding.
  4. Once accepted for publication, the author(s) shall be intimated as to when the Article will feature in the journal publication.
  5. CHANGEMAKER will make articles Openly Accessible. It may appear ONLINE FIRST so as to lessen the time gap between submission and actual publication.
